Terms and Conditions of Participation
- The Living Room is an open and inclusive space, created with the community to be enjoyed by everyone. We will not tolerate any content which is discriminatory in nature, which engages in racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or which prejudices based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender presentation, ability, class or asylum status. Any content deemed to be offensive, demeaning or discriminatory in nature will not be approved and may be reported to the authorities.
- We want the Living Room to be a safe and secure place for everyone to enjoy, so there may be a slight delay while we check your submission. We aim to make all submissions live within 48 hours.
- Please refrain from uploading imagery which depicts children or anyone under the age of 18. (Unless its you / you have permission from the child and your/their parent/guardian)
- Please do not upload content which directly features people without their consent.
- Please do not upload any content that could put you at risk of harm.
- By uploading original files to The Living Room website, you confirm that you are the copyright owner or have permission to upload the files from the original copyright owner, or that the content is in free circulation and openly available to the public.
- By signing up to our mailing list you will receive updates about your chosen local Living Rooms. You can opt out and unsubscribe at any time by contacting hello@wearelocal.org.uk
- Please be aware that by providing your name on the submission form, you give us permission to show your name alongside your submission on the Living Room website.
- If you upload multiple, similar versions of the same content, we may choose to only upload one or two of your submissions.
- We may move your submission to a different or additional website section, if we feel it is better suited there.
- By sharing your content here, you also give us permission to share it on the Living Room social media accounts as a means to promote and share the website experience with our communities.
- If you are under 18 years of age, then by uploading Content you confirm that you have the permission of your parent or guardian to do so.
- Local Creative Projects Ltd will collect names, email address and submitted content (written, photographic, image-based, audio, video or links to your websites/social media profiles) that are used for the purpose of providing The Living Room services and content experience to other people. This content will be kept for the duration of the project and archived thereafter and stored for up to one year after the project ends. To remove your data, content or anyone else's submission that infringes upon your privacy, please contact Local's data controller- hello@wearelocal.org.uk.
